1) Find our own way to Kuala Terengganu bus station.
2) Wait for the resort's transport (usually bus or van) to come pick us up to bring us to the office which is in town.
3) Drop our baggage at the office's store room and go look for breakfast on our own.
4) Meet up again at the office at a certain time and take the transport provided to go to the harbour.
5) Once you reach the harbour, wait for the resort's boat to pick us up.
6) Take a 45 minutes ride on the boat and you see glorious sand!!!
Where was I... Ah, yes... After getting on the 'VIP' van, we all felt tired (didnt really sleep in the bus all night), and most of us started to doze off. I was fortunate enough to get the front seat (which had a seat belt) because what was about to happened really left a mark in some of our lives... When all was well, and everyone felt it was time to join our dear Snorlax in slumberland, suddenly I heard a loud screeching noise. When opened my eyes, I only managed to see our van swirl to the left, trying to avoid a CRV.Thank God to my habit of buckling the seat belt the moment I enter a vehicle, I was only rocking, otherwise my head will be joining the lizard's carcass that was already lying in the middle of the road. While I was left shakened, my friends were left with bruises and cuts on their knees (one of the seat actually came off). I was starting to think that all these are perks for choosing their resort (a little excitement and something to bring home). It so happens that the accident happened in front of the driver's relative/ friend/ damn good friend/ have no idea who's house coz the owner of the house immediately took his van (that's why I said it might be staged) and sent us to the harbour. So, with this older and wiser driver, we reached the harbour safely, driving below 90 km/h, in one piece and in time!
The CRV barely suffered anything. When I opened my eyes, I saw the CRV rocked in it's position front and back =p CRV's breaks must be super good! The wait was killing us, no one could wait to see the beautiful sand, the sandy beaches, the clear blue water... The journey felt forever and I kept thinking that something bad will happen and our trip would be canceled (a few times it almost came true. Somebody UP THERE must really like me =p) After passing a few islands while keeping our calm all the way(though you can see that we looked as though we have snakes in our pants), we finally saw the reason why we took a 7-hour long bus to reach here...
After a quick briefing and dropping our stuff, we headed straight for the open sea! Damn, I miss the sea water... I suddenly remembered why I almost stayed back last year =p A quick adaptation to the salt water and abit of Tarzan jumping of some rocks, we headed back to our rooms to rest.
Tired but still can pose =p
We were not allowed to sleep on the bed coz everyone refused to take a bathe =p
So, after lunch, we went snorkeling near one of the island, called Pulau Lima. Needless to say, it was great... Some of us didnt know how to swim, so we spent some time learning how to breathe through the power mask. After an hour and half, we went back to our humble hut.
The night ended early for some but a few of us continued a few more hours. In the end, everyone was sound a sleep...
The next morning, we had breakfast.
The next morning, we had breakfast.
So, after finishing all the booze we had, it wasn't very hard for all of us to meet Snorlax in slumberland again... The next morning, we were in for a surprise... 'knock, knock'. "Encik, saya nak ambil air cond controller". Boy, were we shocked, some still having hang-overs. Apparently the boat was leaving in 5 minutes time, and we haven't even finished packing!!! Damn, I have not anyone pack so fast! So, after managing to throw everything into our bags (leaving a toothpaste and toothbrush), we boarded to boat and headed back to KL...
Brought nothing back for myself, just some dark skin...
