Lean On

This is dedicated to someone I know. You know who you are =p

-Bill Withers-

"Lean On"

Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won't let show

You just call on me brother, when you need a hand (Chorus)
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Second Verse
(Chorus)

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me
(Chorus)
Call me (if you need a friend)
Call me (call me)
Call me (if you need a friend)
Call me (if you ever need a friend)
Call me (call me)
Call me
Call me (if you need A friend)

Unconditional Love

Read this post from Vickyvacko's sister's blog and I thought it sounded very true =p

When you love someone unconditionally, you (rationally):
  • become selfless when they are in need
  • are hurt when they are hurting
  • are delighted when they smile
  • worry for their safety
  • be there even when you're disregarded
  • do crazy things you'd never imagine yourself doing
  • plan for them
  • talk, not sleep over it
  • assure them every second if you can that you're there
  • forgive them
  • encourage them
  • want them to love themselves
  • will appreciate and respects her as an adult
  • will voice out if you have an opinion
  • will never ignore them
  • will not expect, you offer
  • will not push them away
  • will never give them cold shoulder
  • can never ever...be truly angry at them

Like Only A Woman Can

-Brian McFadden-

"Like Only A Woman Can"

I wasn’t perfect
I’ve done a lot of stupid things
Still no angel
I wasn’t looking for forgiveness
Wasn’t laid out by my pride
Shocked by her attention
And someone signed me up for love
I didn’t want it
And now I can’t live without it

She changed my life
She cleaned me up
She found my heart
Like only a woman can
She pulls me up
When she knows I’m sad
She knows her man
Like only a woman can

She’s kind of perfect
She’s kind of everything I’m not
Yeah, she’s an angel
And it’s amazing how she’s patient
Even more at times I’m not
She’s my conscience
And who decided I’d be hers
I wanna hate them
Cos now I can’t live without her

She changed my life
She cleaned me up
She found my heart
Like only a woman can
She pulls me up
When she knows I’m sad
She knows her man
Like only a woman can

Like only a woman can
And who decided I’d be hers
I wanna hate them
Cos now I can’t live without her

Oh, and she changed my life
She cleaned me up
She found my heart
Like only a woman can
She pulls me up
When she knows I’m sad
She knows her man
Like only a woman can

Like only a woman can
Like only a woman can
Like only a woman
Like only a woman can

Nothing Comes Easy

WOW! So many things have happened since I posted my last blog. You know when you watch movies, fairy tales in particular (yes, I’m a sucker for fairy tales and teen flicks). The movie starts with a fairly normal day and everything goes as usual and then suddenly, the characters go through perils, trials and hardship not forgetting misunderstandings before reaching the Happily Ever After scene (Well, that's where the movie ends anyway unless there is a sequel to it)? It's funny because that's exactly how I feel with my life. I'm not sure about other people's life because either they don’t tell me or they don’t put it in their blog. Just when you think things are going smoothly, you suddenly hit a bump in life and things plunge down. What you do? You suck it up, get up and start walking again. Then it hits you again! Now, I am a fairly patient person and I believe things happen for a reason although I complain like hell, I never give up and true enough, things get better =p And then, right then, just when you thought it's finally over, something bad happen and it affects everything else in your life. THIS is the moment, when you really feel like giving up, you feel like nothing good is ever going to happen or last in your life. What do you do? You know you have responsibilities, you know you can’t just simply ignore people and you are afraid that you might disappoint others.

You need very supportive people around you; you need them to understand the situation you are in. And although it looks like he is failing or falling, they have to know and trust that you are doing everything you can to make everyone happy. Because if everyone is happy, you automatically become happy. Because you don’t believe in being happy alone. God gave us only 6 degrees of separation between 2 individuals for a reason. Now, back to fairy tales, usually things just fall in line and the problems are slowly solved one after another. Of course this requires the help of the characters in the movie either deliberately or not, but I love the part where everything is a mess and people run around doing things that don’t make sense at all. You'll be screaming to yourself, "Wtf is he doing? How does he know what to do?". In the movie, you see things in a few angles, a few perspectives. So maybe you are able to guess why and what is happening. But in real life, you can only see things from one pair of eyes, yours. So how do you do it? How do you know whether things are going to end up right? How do you know everything will reach the finish line just in time and for that moment, everything is perfect (just like the movies)? You have this little thing called FAITH. You believe that everything will be fine in the end, and from your experience, you know that the people around you can be trusted and they understand you. Just like how you understand them. It's a mutual understanding that you care for each other, and you will do anything to make things right. A little encouragement in the process helps a lot too.

And that kind of understanding will drive you to the finish line, because we all want to meet at the finish line, all smiles and just contented that we are there and we can say, "We did it".

Helpless When She Smiles

-Backstreet Boys-

"Helpless When She Smiles"

She keeps her secrets
In her eyes
She wraps the truth
Inside her lies
Just when I can't say
What she's done to me
She comes to me
And leads me back to paradise

She's so hard to hold
But I can't let go

I'm a house of cards
in a hurricane
A reckless ride
In the pouring rain
She cuts me and the pain
Is all I wanna feel
She'll dance away just like a child
She drives me crazy
Drives me wild
But I'm helpless when she smiles

She smiles

Maybe I'd fight if I could
It hurts so bad
But feels so good
She opens up just like
A rose to me
When she's close to me
Anything she'd ask me to
I would

It's out of control
But I can't let go

[Repeat Chorus]

When she looks at me
I get so weak

[Repeat Chorus]

Kasut's Birthday

Recently, PX celebrated her birthday at a place I have never celebrated birthday before. But before that, we had dinner (at 10pm) at The Apartment.

I have done many things in the toilet before. But having dinner, never =p

Very nice chicken

After having dinner, we adjourned to the room of screams. Where choirs of angels and the barking of hell hounds AND the wailing of whales converge into a symphony of devastation that is beyond human measurement.

Started with the birthday girl making her wish

Started of with some jiwang song with one of the choir's angel

Followed by some screaming by the ever devoted fans of Lee-inda Hom-chin!!!

Guys singing 'jiwang' songs

Very the back at the street boys

Ok, things getting out of hand...

Looking for that high note!

YEAH!

New song, my baby went nuts =p

Dunno what my baby doing...

Ahhhh! Shake it to the left!!!!

Finally, after throats have been ripped and glasses have been broken, its was time to leave. But not before having our last toast!

Me, drinking Ribena!!!

All girls shot

All boys shot (Hew left early) =p

Mixed shot

A humble beginning

Its been more than a month since I blogged. I actually told myself to blog more once my holidays started, but I guess I was too caught up with things... So, what has changed since then? I know people were scratching their heads when they saw my last post. Honestly, I didnt know what to write. I wanted to tell people, but I just didnt know how! So, I'm sure by now, EVERYONE knows =p

She just appeared one day and swept me off my feet. I know... I know that sounds like the rolls were switched, but that was what I felt. My life literally changed the day I met her... You know people used to say that from the ashes of death, the phoenix will reborn and fly again? I felt exactly like that! She was there at my lowest hours (I know it sounds corny and you feel like clicking that very tempting 'X' button on the top right corner , but bare with me =p )

Met her for the first time, I knew there was something about her...

She was there to open the 'door'...

Our first so called date

She makes me go bonkers!

So is her =p

Getting wet together? =p

I can never get enough of her, the more the better!!! =p

Ever since she appeared in my life, things have changed. Hearts have been opened. Feelings such as absolute trust and undivided attention came without hesitation... But not everything is rosy and nice.

Long and winding road...

It's ok, we got our comfy Crocs =p

Mine and hers

I guess that's the sign of a real relationship. So baby, this is for you. Thank you for being who you are. I will love you with all my heart and much much more...

*Updated: And now she checks for my mistakes too!!! =p

What is your greatest fear?

What is our greatest fear?

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

3 months have passed since I posted something. Throughout these 3 months, I had constant urges to post something, but it never ended here... So, 3 months have passed, that's also the duration of my last semester! To sum it all up, it was really a blurry roller coaster.
