Nothing Comes Easy

WOW! So many things have happened since I posted my last blog. You know when you watch movies, fairy tales in particular (yes, I’m a sucker for fairy tales and teen flicks). The movie starts with a fairly normal day and everything goes as usual and then suddenly, the characters go through perils, trials and hardship not forgetting misunderstandings before reaching the Happily Ever After scene (Well, that's where the movie ends anyway unless there is a sequel to it)? It's funny because that's exactly how I feel with my life. I'm not sure about other people's life because either they don’t tell me or they don’t put it in their blog. Just when you think things are going smoothly, you suddenly hit a bump in life and things plunge down. What you do? You suck it up, get up and start walking again. Then it hits you again! Now, I am a fairly patient person and I believe things happen for a reason although I complain like hell, I never give up and true enough, things get better =p And then, right then, just when you thought it's finally over, something bad happen and it affects everything else in your life. THIS is the moment, when you really feel like giving up, you feel like nothing good is ever going to happen or last in your life. What do you do? You know you have responsibilities, you know you can’t just simply ignore people and you are afraid that you might disappoint others.

You need very supportive people around you; you need them to understand the situation you are in. And although it looks like he is failing or falling, they have to know and trust that you are doing everything you can to make everyone happy. Because if everyone is happy, you automatically become happy. Because you don’t believe in being happy alone. God gave us only 6 degrees of separation between 2 individuals for a reason. Now, back to fairy tales, usually things just fall in line and the problems are slowly solved one after another. Of course this requires the help of the characters in the movie either deliberately or not, but I love the part where everything is a mess and people run around doing things that don’t make sense at all. You'll be screaming to yourself, "Wtf is he doing? How does he know what to do?". In the movie, you see things in a few angles, a few perspectives. So maybe you are able to guess why and what is happening. But in real life, you can only see things from one pair of eyes, yours. So how do you do it? How do you know whether things are going to end up right? How do you know everything will reach the finish line just in time and for that moment, everything is perfect (just like the movies)? You have this little thing called FAITH. You believe that everything will be fine in the end, and from your experience, you know that the people around you can be trusted and they understand you. Just like how you understand them. It's a mutual understanding that you care for each other, and you will do anything to make things right. A little encouragement in the process helps a lot too.

And that kind of understanding will drive you to the finish line, because we all want to meet at the finish line, all smiles and just contented that we are there and we can say, "We did it".
